Specifications include, but are not limited to: Area #1 The purpose for this Specification Scope of Work is to obtain competitive responsible bids for the Insulation of the Attic Space as needed. The Contractor is to provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials for installation of Insulation of the attic space of the Floyd County Administration Building. All areas not covered by sheet rock should be included in the area to be insulated. Insulation Batts should have an “R” value of 38. Batt should be of good quality, unfaced, John Mansville, Owens Corning or equal. Batts should be installed with an adequate number of insulation hangars to ensure that the Batts stay securely in place and do not sag over time. If the desired product is not available or there is a comparable product that can be used, please specify. We expect the specifications of the product to be at a minimum the same as desired product and proof of such should be included in the bid submission. The contractor should work to make sure that all areas are covered, and no areas are left uninsulated. The contractor is responsible for measurements and calculations. The contractor is required to clean up and dispose of all work debris. All work is to be done between the hours of 8am to 5pm daily. The contractor should inform us of the number of days necessary for the work to be completed. Area #2 Provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to insulate the sheet rocked attic area of the administration building with “blown in” type insulation. An “R” value of 38 should be provided. The contractor should inspect the sheet rocked area and secure/re-screw any loose sheetrock. The contractor should core the sheetrock in various locations to facilitate the insulating of all designated areas. The insulation should be John Mansville, Owens Corning or equal. The contractor is responsible for all field measurements and calculations. The contractor is responsible for all clean up and disposal of all work debris.
