Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide an automated interface with UTMB necessary to receive referrals, statuses, and returned accounts. • Ability to accept outbound files in Epic’s standard format • Ability to produce inbound files in Epic’s standard format 4.2.4.2 Proposer will be required to assist UTMB in qualifying uninsured and underinsured patients, including Correctional Managed Care “CMC”/Texas Department of Criminal Justice “TDCJ” expectant mothers, for all available third-party resources such as (but not limited to) Medicaid and Medicare. The intent of this RFP is to maximize third-party resource recoveries to UTMB by increasing revenues received from these third-party resources for uninsured and underinsured patients. The type and scope of work per account will be assigned and defined by UTMB’s RFP Coordinator. 4.2.4.3 Proposer will be required to assist UTMB in follow-up procedures, tracking, and monitoring of accounts through all third-party resource programs. 4.2.4.4 Proposer will be required to file appeals and provide effective representation of uninsured and underinsured patients whose claims for eligibility are denied and must be appealed through administrative hearings for Administrative Law Judges and/or Appellate Tribunals/Councils. 4.2.4.5 Proposer will be required to provide an agreed upon number of representatives onsite to be allocated within the Emergency Department, Outpatient, and Inpatient Units. Hours to staff employees Monday – Friday 8am-6pm; and Saturdays and Sundays 9am-5:30pm to perform eligibility screening of patients. • UTMB will provide office space, a desk, and local telephone access. • Proposer shall be responsible for wages, salaries and benefits of all Proposer employees. Parking shall also be the responsibility of the Proposer. 4.2.4.6 Proposer will also be required to utilize remote staff/representatives to perform routine follow-up, account statusing, and administrative responsibilities. 4.2.4.7 Proposer must work directly in and manage its respective Work Queues within Epic.
