Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contract generally consists of rehabilitation of the existing ACOE Stormwater Pumping Station including the removal of existing pumps and equipment, modification to the existing pumping station structure, installation of three (3) storm water pumps and discharge piping, replacement of the two (2) existing sluice gates and installation of two (2) new sluice gates, modifications to the existing storm sewer piping influent to the pumping station, installation of new city water and electrical service to the pumping station, site restoration, and other associated work as more particularly indicated, shown or described in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish and install three (3) vertical turbine pumps, complete with eddy current drives, baseplates, split mechanical seals, couplings and guards, as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified herein for the ACOE Storm Water Pumping Station. Each pumping unit shall be supplied, complete, by one manufacturer including pumps, drives/motors, baseplates, couplings, guards and other accessories as specified herein. Pumps shall be model 24MVX33D as manufactured Flowserve, or approved equal. The pumps, drives/motors, couplings and base plates shall be designed and built for 24-hour continuous service at any and all points within the specified range of operation, without overheating, without damaging cavitation, and without excessive vibration or noise. Each major piece of equipment shall be furnished with a stainless steel nameplate (with embossed data) securely mounted to the body of the equipment. As a minimum, nameplates for pumps shall include the manufacturer's name and model number, serial number, rated flow capacity, head and speed. As a minimum, nameplates for motors shall include the manufacturer's name and model number, serial number, horsepower, speed, input voltage, amps, number of cycles, power and service factors.
