Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Removal of existing water softener resin tanks, disposal of, and off County Property, following local, state, and federal laws that govern the disposal of this equipment. 2. Removal of resin, brine tank, and non-electronic equipment can be hauled to owner’s compactors that are located at the building’s main loading dock. 3. Connect new system to existing isolation valves using copper pipe and fittings. New pipe configuration may be necessary if current piping obstructs access to the new system control valves or controllers. The bid should include re-piping at new system elevation. 4. Replace one (1) 3” butterfly isolation valve. 5. One (1) Facility shutdown for final connections should include a minimum of 8hrs. premium hours per man. This work must be coordinated & completed after the Correction Center has completed their evening meal service. 6. Two (2) Fleck NXT2 system controllers. 7. Two (2) Fleck 3900 control valves. 8. Two (2) Fleck 3” meters. 9. Two (2) 30’ x 72” fiberglass resin tank w/downtube and distributors. 10. 700lbs. of support gravel, 350lbs per resin tank. 11. 30 cubic feet of softening resin, 15cf. per resin tank. 12. One (1) 39” x 48” brine tank w/salt shelf, brine well, and brine valve. 13. Insulation of any piping, either new or existing, necessary for a complete installation. 14. The installer will program, confirm operation within manufacturers specifications, complete one (1) training for County Maintenance staff, and supply pertinent programming and maintenance manuals. 15. Contractors must visit the site to familiarize themselves with access and existing conditions, no change orders will be accepted due to not having a complete understanding of the work conditions.
