Specifications include, but are not limited to: Family Connector Organizations will focus on facilitating culturally-specific outreach, application support, enrollment assistance, and resource connection for eligible Preschool for All families. Needs Assessment and Planning: ● Conduct an initial assessment to identify the specific needs of diverse culture communities in Multnomah County. ● Develop a comprehensive outreach and engagement plan based on the identified needs and preferences of the communities in Multnomah County. Cultural Outreach and Program Awareness: ● Participate in training sessions to stay informed about the most current application and enrollment processes. ● Design and implement culturally-specific outreach strategies using culturally relevant communication channels, events and materials. ● Organize workshops or informational sessions to educate families about programs and benefits. Application Support and Enrollment ● Offer one-on-one or group sessions to assist families in understanding application requirements and completing necessary paperwork. ● Provide language assistance and cultural guidance through the application and enrollment process. Resource Connection and Follow-up: ● Establish partnerships with other community organizations and agencies to connect families with additional resources (e.g., healthcare, housing and food assistance). ● Conduct follow-up sessions to ensure families are successfully integrated into their preschool program and assist them with advocating to have their culturally-specific needs met at their preferred preschool location. Reporting and Evaluation: ● Maintain detailed records of outreach efforts, services provided, and families served. ● Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and support initiatives periodically, making necessary adjustments based on feedback and results. ● Collaborate with PFA to provide qualitative and quantitative mid-year and annual reports.
