Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Submit "Traffic Control Plan" for approval prior to beginning work. Traffic control plan complies with Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and UDOT Standard Specifications for Road Bridge Construction most current edition. Plan shall comply with the most current edition of the UDOT TC series drawings, as a minimum. B. Furnish, place, maintain and remove all traffic control signs and devices. On all long line stripping, a truck mounted attenuator must be used as a follow up. On high-speed multi-lane roads or freeways over 45 mph a second follow up truck is required with an arrow board. Payment is included in unit bid price for pavement markings, messages, and highway traffic striping. C. Do not work in the direction of rush hour traffic during peak commute times. Region Traffic Engineer determines restricted hours on an individual basis. Work at night as directed by the Region Traffic Engineer or UDOT Representative. D. Remove pavement markings at the same time new markings are applied. E. These services will be performed in UDOT Region One boundaries. F. Contractor will receive 24-hour notice prior to specific work location and time. G. Primary Contractor will be notified by UDOT representative about specific project and timeline to complete project. If primary cannot complete in time frame discussed then they will notify UDOT in writing, and UDOT may move to the alternate (secondary/tertiary) contracts. If contractor has not completed project within the timeline agreed to, UDOT reserves the right to move to Secondary contractor. Contractor will also receive a letter documenting a noncompliance. After 3 noncompliance, UDOT reserves the right to terminate the contract.
