Specifications include, but are not limited to: Install/Inspect Sub Floor:. Install/Inspect the Subfloor: Install sub flooring where required through-out the Gym after abatement. Ensure all height and leveling are met according to the CPS specification listed in SECTION 09 65 64 Resilient Athletic Flooring - Strength Training Room / Fitness Center Ensure the sub flooring is clean, dry, prior to the install of the new floor. Floor type: Floor type recommended: Urethane flooring. Install the Rubber Flooring: Layout: Start from one corner and lay out the rubber rolls or tiles. Trimming: Cut the rubber to fit around edges, corners, and obstacles (like columns or equipment). Adhesive: Apply adhesive (if using) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Seams: Butt the edges of rolls or tiles together for a seamless look. Trimming Seams: Trim any excess rubber along seams. Finishing Touches: Edge Trims: Install edge trims around the perimeter to protect the edges and create a neat finish. Transition Strips: Add transition strips where the rubber meets other flooring types (e.g., carpet or tile). Game Lines: Ensure sport lines are added to the flooring for Basketball. School Colors: Adding the school Mascot, Name & Colors to the new installed floor. (Colors to be selected by the principal once the BID is awarded). Request for closeout information: Provide warranty information and maintenance guides for floor care recommendations and best practices. Contractor to secure necessary permits. Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing bid. Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification. Materials and installation must comply with CPS Standards and Specifications as listed on SECTION 09 65 64 Resilient Athletic Flooring - Strength Training Room / Fitness Center Secure job site overnight if work is not completed in one day. If building or CPS properties are damaged during construction, contractor to replace and/or repair as necessary. Provide necessary labor and materials to fix/correct issues preventing any or all of the projects to be marked as completed. All work shall be coordinated with the Board authorized representatives to complete in an agreed upon time frame. Contractor is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris. All trash must be removed off-site by contractor. Clean the surrounding area and make sure all is swept of debris. All questions/requests must be received two (2) business days prior to bid closing.
