The successful bidder shall: Provide onsite maintenance and repairs set forth by the manufacturers’ specifications and warranty information; Provide documentation of the maintenance and repair, to include a description of the microscope condition before and after service, for each microscope; Provide a time-table for completing the maintenance program implemented by the ISP forensic science laboratory system; Perform the following maintenance on all microscopes based on guidelines set forth by the microscope manufacturers: Clean internally and externally all optics and mechanicals; Clean and lubricate mechanicals; Check magnification factors for accuracy; Check and align, when needed, lenses for lens/prism separation; Lubricate rotating stages; Disassemble and reassemble parts as needed for thorough maintenance; Clean eyepieces, objectives and filters; Clean and lubricate condenser & polarizer; Clean and lubricate stage assembly (Coarse and fine focus assembly). Adjust x & y controls; Clean and lubricate binocular or trinocular body; Clean c-mount and camera (if installed); Clean and lubricate sub-stage assembly and focus blocks; Clean and align the illumination system. Check light source electronics/electrics and clean light sources; Conduct performance checks; Perform mechanical and optical alignments and resolution.
