Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project will replace roofs and parapets at multiple buildings including masonry repairs and all related work. Due to investigations in each original building, the focus of this project will now cover repairs in the Fine Arts Center. The following outlies the work included. Demolition: Remove existing roof membrane, roof insulation, precast parapets, brick veneer (and accessories), ladders, lightning protection, and capped / unused mechanical curbs. Building Exterior: • Provide new roof system to achieve overall ¼” slope to existing drains. Roof system includes 80mil TPO, ½” cover board, tapered rigid insulation, etc. Provide new roof drain caps and a few new thru-wall scuppers. • Provide new brick veneer and accessories (shelf angles, lintels, ties, etc.), 1.5” spray foam insulation and fluid-applied air/ moisture barrier. Interior Improvements: N/A Architectural and Structural: • Extend parapet height by two CMU courses. • Provide new prefinished metal parapet coping. • Provide structural reinforcement at interior face of CMU wall that has existing movement. This movement is located on the east wall of Hayes Concert Hall near the catwalk. • Provide structural reinforcement for each wall at both fly towers (Hayes Concert Hall and Ward Theatre). Structural reinforcement includes continuous shelf angle at each structural beam to support the brick veneer, HSS tube column at the midspan of each structural beam, and stiffening bracing below deck along the parapet walls. • Provide new continuous shelf angle at the base of all brick veneer walls. • Provide new exterior roof ladders. • Provide limited amounts of new metal deck to fill in where mechanical capped curbs removed.
