Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to solicit proposals from qualified, experienced, financially sound, and responsible athletic field construction firms with recent NCAA Division 1, National Football League, Major League Soccer, or Major League Baseball experience to renovate the existing UK Softball field located in Lexington, Kentucky. The scope of work of this project consists of the supply, installation and warranting of all materials and products, including all labor, superintendence, equipment, temporary power, transportation, lighting, plant and tools related to the construction of the work as herein specified in this RFP and Attachments. The successful awardee would provide all construction services necessary to renovate the softball field, drainage system, and irrigation system in accordance with the guidelines, standards and limitations contained in the Request for Proposal. Also required will be quality control testing, construction program inspections and completed project documentation. Please see section 7.0, Services Defined for more information. The new big roll, sand cap sod will be procured through the University of Kentucky and will be delivered (FBO) to the site for installation by the successful contractor of this RFP. Coordination of delivery date will be made between the University of Kentucky, the turf farm, and the successful contractor. It will be the responsibility of the successful contractor to coordinate with the Sod provider to make sure that installation is done correctly so that all warranties will be upheld.
