Specifications include, but are not limited to: Conduct a statewide price analysis of relevant forest products derived from land managed by DOFAW as a basis to update the price ranges outlined in DOFAW’s Forest Products Price List (2018) so they are fair and reasonable and reflect current market value ranges and demand. For the categories of forest products already on the 2018 list, evaluate the potential for including new species with market potential that are already being sold/demanded by local companies. Assess the need to remove disused forest products or those without market or community demand. In addition to the product categories already present in the current list, DOFAW would like to obtain prices for the sale of seeds of native species present in forest reserve areas and commonly used to produce seedlings for reforestation projects in the state. There is a growing demand for seeds from the private sector and state forest reserves have these resources in abundance, so pricing this type of product becomes important for the state.
