Specifications include, but are not limited to: Con Tech Storm Filter Vaults - Maintenance Procedures: 1) Inspection- Inspections will be done in accordance with OSHA confined space regulations. -Contractor will assess the overall operational effectiveness of storm filter systems in accordance with manufacturer’s requirement. -Visual inspection of internal components for damage or defects (inlet bays, outlet bays, cartridges, cartridge bays, weir/gates, sampling locations) -Measurement of water and sediment levels in all bays and chambers -Cartridge media inspection for saturation levels -Determine sludge levels -Check system is functioning properly -Contractor will record the findings of all locations inspected and provide a detailed 3rd party compliance service report for municipal inspection and tracking. Development of inspection criteria should be based on as-built conditions of the storm filters record during inspection. 2) Maintenance- Maintenance will be performed per regulatory requirement and per the manufacturer’s specifications and requirements. -Contractor will perform necessary maintenance including full system pump out and cartridge exchange as necessary to maintain efficiency and proper operation of all storm filter systems. All waste generated from service of the storm filter systems and sites will be disposed of by contractor following all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. Maintenance Frequency: Inspections will be done at a minimum of twice (2) annually. Ultimately, inspection and maintenance activities should be scheduled on the historic records and characteristics of the individual storm filter system or site. In rare instances, emergency work (for non-hazardous material clean-up only) may be requested.
