Specifications include, but are not limited to: Technical Assistance and Training The Contractor shall provide Public Health Preparedness Program-related technical assistance and training for local health departments on an annual basis. Activities shall include but are not limited to: • Providing orientation about the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program for a new health department administrator and/or a new county commissioner, as requested • Distribute KDHE-developed webinar access information to new health department administrators. • Supporting delivery of preparedness-related training sessions as part of other organizational meetings involving local health departments to minimize travel requirements and maximize opportunities. o A PHEP workshop shall be held annually of at least 60 minutes in length at an event where at least one person from 75% of PHEP local health departments attend. The Local Health and KDHE Advisory Team shall provide the content. o An information sharing session shall be held annually for the county commissioners regarding the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program (PHEP). The Contractor shall provide the content. o Arrange to have one webinar per State Fiscal Year through the Kansas Association of Counties (KAC) to train a broad audience on public health emergency preparedness. This webinar may be provided via the Contractor or the content may be supplied by KDHE. The training shall be focused on the county commissioners’ PHEP training needs.
