Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall furnish and install 6" batt insulation and 1" thick ASJ fiberglass board supported with ceiling grid track as required to repair missing or damaged sections in Gym #1. B. Contractor shall repair existing ceiling insulation with same thickness material in Gym #2. C. Once the existing insulation has been repaired at Gym #2, the Contractor shall furnish and install BlueTex insulation system (or approved equal) below the repaired insulation on the ceiling. D. BlueTex insulation to be secured with enough screws, tape, and clips to survive potential impacts from sports activities to include volleyballs and basketballs. E. All damaged insulation materials, including but not limited to batt insulation, loose-fill insulation, and spray foam insulation, shall be removed and properly disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations. F. Contractor shall ensure that the new insulation materials comply with the following specifications: o R-value: The insulation materials used shall achieve a minimum R-value of R-30, as per the current building code requirements. o Material Type: The insulation material shall be made of mineral wool or fiberglass, certified by an independent testing laboratory to meet ASTM C665 standards. o Fire Rating: The insulation material shall have a minimum Class A fire rating as classified by ASTM E84. o Vapor Retarder: If required by local building codes, the insulation material shall be paired with an appropriate vapor retarder, properly installed to prevent moisture intrusion. G. All repairs shall be carried out in accordance with industry best practices, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable codes and regulations
