Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Comprehensively research African American historic resources in Kansas City to develop a historic context, as per National Register Bulletin 15: How to Apply the National Register Criteria for Evaluation. B. Prepare a Multiple Property Documentation Form (MPDF) for Kansas City’s African American historic resources, including the Context, Property Type, Registration Requirements and Bibliography. MPDF will meet all recommendations as stated in National Register Bulletin 16B: How to Complete the National Register Multiple Property Documentation Form. C. Prepare and submit at least three (3) new or amended nominations to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) related to African American historic resources in Kansas City. D. Facilitate community engagement in coordination with the City Planning & Development Department Long Range Planning and Preservation Division.
