Specifications include, but are not limited to: Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) and its partners across the state are delivering a comprehensive Soil Health Program that advances the adoption and implementation of practices that promote healthy soils and sustainable farms and ranches. CDA is seeking proposals for a contractor/organization to develop a robust and efficient data collection system for tracking and monitoring in-field activities. Developing a geodatabase tool utilized across the diverse partners working on the Colorado Soil Health Program will enhance efficiency and improve the tracking and monitoring of critical steps that support producers and our partners with implementation of the program is essential to long-term program success. The contractor will design and implement a CDA-internal spatial geodatabase to house and track data from program-enrolled agricultural fields and to train CDA staff on how to use and update the geodatabase. This system will also provide a method for tracking and monitoring in-field activities, allowing field staff to add notes, gather field data and record field visit information to the database. Upon completion of the project, the geodatabase should be fully manageable by CDA staff.
