The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from experienced and qualified offerors to provide Medical Services for Primary Care and Preventative Services to West Chester University Students. Services include the ability to perform incision and drainage, foreign body removal, slit lamp evaluation with corneal staining, and wound care. Suturing skills are desirable. Services to faculty and staff are limited to campus vaccine clinics for special programs. Physician coverage will take place at Student Health Services located on the University campus. Providers must stay on the premises during scheduled work hours, except for scheduled breaks. Specific medical services are required during the dates when regular classes are scheduled, including summer and winter sessions and when students are living on campus. Medical services will not be needed for holidays as defined by the University. The Contractor shall be deemed the prime contractor and shall not sub-contract, during the term of this contract or any renewals or extension thereof, nor assign or transfer his/her obligation, without the prior written consent of the University. The Contractor cannot change the physician personnel offered without the consent of the University and only after duly conducted reviews of the proposed new physician(s) and verification of his/her education, licenses, medical certifications, and insurances. The Contractor will work under the auspices of the Director of Student Health Services, who reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Health & Wellness in the Division of Student Affairs. The professional employees of the University include nurse practitioners, nurses, and clerk typists/administrative assistant.
