As the provider of staffing services, the awarded service provider will be the employer of Assigned Employees, and will be responsible for the staffing services listed below: • Recruit, select, and hire Assigned Employees and substitute workers. • Require all Assigned Employees to submit their fingerprints to the Customer and consent to the conduct of a criminal background check through the Georgia Crime Information Center and the national criminal history background check system. The service provider shall not assign any Employee to the Customer’s facilities until the Customer has obtained the criminal background check, evaluated the Employee’s fitness and approved the employee for assignment to its facilities. • Require that all temporary employees be verified as legally eligible to work in the United States through the Department of Homeland Security. This documentation is required in addition to completion of the I-9 form. • Place Assigned Employees according to Customer’s requirements. • Pay Assigned Employees their wages and provide them the benefits that the service provider offers to them as employees. • Pay or withhold payroll taxes (e.g., FICA) and insurance premiums (e.g., Medicare) and fulfill its obligations for unemployment compensation (e.g., FUTA, SUTA). • Provide workers’ compensation benefits and coverage for Assigned Employees.
