Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) The Contractor shall conduct Acute whole effluent toxicity testing on twelve (12) final effluent samples collected by District staff from District water reclamation plants and provide final reports of the results. a) There will be a total of four (4) samples collected in 2024 and eight (8) samples collected in 2025. The Acute whole effluent toxicity testing shall include the following: i) Whole effluent toxicity testing shall comply with EPA-821-R-02-012 Methods for Measuring Acute Toxicity of Effluents and Receiving Waters to Freshwater and Marine Organisms (5th Edition); October 2002. (1) 48-hour Static LC50 Bioassay using Ceriodaphnia dubia, Method #2002.0 (2) 96-hour Static LC50 Bioassay using Pimephales promelas, Method # 2000.0 ii) A final report in PDF format shall be provided via email within thirty (30) calendar days after results are available. iii) The final report shall contain results from the toxicity tests, results from the reference toxicant tests and laboratory controls, measurements on the samples (temperature) and on the test solutions (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity/salinity). The final report shall also include specific methods and materials used, statistical determination of toxicity, bench sheets, chain of custody documents, and any unforeseen protocol deviations.
