Specifications include, but are not limited to: The current project seeks to restore the fire-proofing elements that remain in the building; specifically, the doublehung steel sash and casings, steel shutters, and the steel main entry door and casing. These elements are in various states of decay from paint failure, rust, and warping. The scope of work includes six (6) steel window openings and (1) steel fire door. The following list summarizes the repair actions for each element: 1. Remove paint and corrosion from steel window casings, sashes, and shutters. 2. Remove paint and corrosion from steel door casing and fire door. 3. Repair, refinishing, and replacing hardware. 4. Repair steel subframes uncovered by removal of window stools or sills, or door casing. 5. Repair steel windows and door assemblies. 6. Repair steel shutters, fire doors, and associated hardware. 7. Reglaze sashes. 8. Apply high-performance paint coatings. 9. Reinstall sashes, shutters, fire door, and associated hardware.
