Specifications include, but are not limited to: The abatement contractor's responsibilities will include: o Perform all asbestos abatement, structural shoring & bracing, and select interior demolition/cleaning as detailed in the design documents (SPEC & Drawings) and SSV; o Collection and recycling/disposal of Universal/Special Waste (bulbs, ballast, thermostats etc.) o Perform site clearing of overgrowth vegetation from the building and within the boundaries of the site fencing to grade. o Provide own safety oversight and project management for duration. o Providing all necessary notifications, including payment of notification fees, to the NYSDOL and USEPA, as required. o Acquire necessary permits including but not limited to abatement, demolition, water, wastewater discharge etc. o Waste disposal and disposal fees. o Comply with any flow control requirements. o Collection and disposal/recycling of Universal Waste (mercury bulbs, and PCB ballast etc.). o Provide temporary power and water (if City water is to be used provide water flow meter) o Protect utilities and adjacent sidewalks, roadways and buildings. o Protecting all site perimeter fencing and repair existing damaged openings and other features. o Providing all required project submittals. Provide restrooms for employees per OSHA standards. o Provide alternate pricing to demolish the north end of the building as friable/RACM in place as detailed in the design documents (SPEC & Drawings) and SSV. Associated Services to be provided by others will include: o Utility disconnects and or cut-and-cap utilities are by others. o A site-specific variance to the NYSDOL will be required to conduct the asbestos abatement in the most cost-effective manner. This service has be provided by others. o Asbestos Project/Air Monitoring will be required before, during and post abatement. This Service will be provided by others.
