Hennepin County seeks proposers to provide flexible, supportive, individualized, and multimodal academic skill-building and academic credit recovery services to youth who are 14 through 24 years old and are connected to County systems. Ideally, proposers will partner with youth, families, and schools to support learners. This project seeks to support youth with building core subject skills (math, science, English/language arts, social studies) and recovering academic credits for progress toward a high school diploma or GED. Learning opportunities must be individualized and provide options for competency-based assessments, immersive learning, and differentiated assignments. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to the following: • Academic transcript reviews to identify credit recovery needs; • Differentiated curriculum support for diverse learning needs; • Regular progress checks with the priority population; • Technology support for online/hybrid services access; • Tutoring or other 1:1 academic content support; • Awarding of secondary level academic credit; • Culturally and linguistically specific and culturally affirming services; and • Post-secondary transition support.
