Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, Divisions of Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder, is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain the services of a qualified contractor - to implement and manage the DBHDID’s annual trainings and continuing education opportunities using qualified staff, technologies, and supportive infrastructure in order to support and sustain DBHDID’s role as the behavioral health authority for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Contractor will support the planning and execution of the annual System of Care Academy (SOCA), hosted by DBHDID for a decade, with a goal of building resilient youth, families, and communities. System of Care Academy brings together families, youth, service providers, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, advocates, and other stakeholders to provide a forum through which evidence-based and emerging best practices can be shared. System of Care Academy also provides the necessary continuing education opportunities for professionals, has numerous participant engagement/networking opportunities and an exhibit hall for participants to learn about new products available to them in their field of practice. Participants are estimated to be 1,500 split evenly between in-person and virtual, and include professionals as well as those with lived experience in accessing the behavioral health system. The Contractor will plan and execute the annual Kentucky School for Alcohol and Other Drug Studies (KSAODS), hosted by DBHDID for more than 40 years. KSAODS provides a spectrum (novice to advanced) of plenaries and workshops for behavioral health providers across a four-day period focusing on the best practices for prevention, treatment, and recovery support services. KSAODS also provides the necessary continuing education opportunities for professionals, has numerous participant engagement/networking opportunities and an exhibit hall for participants to learn about new products available to them in their field of practice. Participants are estimated to be a minimum of 1,000 split evenly between in-person and virtual and include professionals as well as those with lived experience the behavioral health system.
