Proposer shall deliver approximately one hundred (100) GPS radio transmitter collars, the number of which will be determined by Agency in its sole discretion, which are Iridium satellite-compatible with very high frequency (VHF) beacons at Agency-defined frequencies for Agency Deployment on Rocky Mountain Elk in 2024 as described in this RFP. The collars must meet all of the following minimum specifications: a. Iridium satellite-compatible. b. Two (2)-way communications with the satellite to maximize remote data upload and location acquisition schedules and allow options for changing GPS collar acquisition schedules. c. Mortality notification via email and/or text message. d. Functional lifespan of thirty-six (36) months while acquiring eight (8) locations/day. e. Include option for a pre-programmed or remote drop-off mechanism (i.e., collar will release from animal via a pre-programmed or remote signal). The collars may meet the following optional specifications: a. Colored belting options.
