The Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park requires the construction of approximately fifty-one (51) miles of foot trail toward the completion of a 300-plus mile trail system authorized by legislation as the Cumberland Trail state scenic trail in the Tennessee Trails System Act, Tenn. Code Ann. § 11- 11-106(2). Mileage may increase through the contract term based on additional land acquisition. Construction will require handwork, as well as allow for some mechanized construction in steep terrain. Work may include rock work, tree removal, construction of trail tread, drainage features, and step ways. The trail runs through the following Tennessee counties: Hamilton, Sequatchie, Marion, Rhea, Bledsoe, Cumberland, Morgan, Scott, Anderson, Campbell, and Claiborne
