Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Assistance selecting and preparing for postsecondary training; • Develop post-graduation transition plans for the priority population who are assigned to the Pathways to Success Re-Engagement site; • Assistance in stabilization and maintaining County related benefits such as cash assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and childcare assistance until stable enough to transfer to the adult MFIP Program; • Offer customized training and career exploration activities/instruction using the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) curriculum and competencies for the priority population attending the Pathways to Success Re-Engagement site; • Offer paid and unpaid work experience, including summer employment, job opportunities during the school year, pre-apprenticeship programs, internships, job-shadowing, and on-the-job training opportunities for the priority population; • Administer vocational assessment tools as a means of identifying interests, aptitudes and abilities of the priority population; • Assist the priority population with finding and maintaining approved education activities; • Provide ongoing outreach and engagement activities at the Pathways to Success Re-Engagement site, through youth education, college and career exploration, employment, financial literacy, and leadership opportunities; • Collect and maintain data requirements and prepare progress and annual reports related to demographics, activities, and outcomes; • Set up one-on-one decision-making meetings with potential graduates at school, Pathways to Success Re-Engagement site, or in the community; • Meet one-on-one with potential graduates who want to continue to college for postsecondary planning and exploration; • Assist participants in applying, enrolling, and registering for classes at a college or training program; • Assist participants in securing financial aid including completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); • Update Education Plan and Childcare Plan to reflect college activities; • Monitor attendance/Work Program Hours (WPH), assist participants with MFIP/childcare paperwork and create plans to reduce barriers to access needed resources; • Set up one-on-one meeting with participant and adult MFIP counselor; • Meet with participants to determine if college/training is appropriate given life circumstances; and • Meet with participants to communicate and assist with transferring to the adult MFIP Program.
