Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed scope of work is intended to be a general outline of the work anticipated to be included in the process. It is not an all-inclusive description of the elements to be included in the plan or associated activities. 1. INFORMATION GATHERING a. Review of existing plans for the Township including but not limited to: i. Independence Township Master Plan (currently being updated). ii. Independence Township Corridor Improvement Plan b. Review of Independence Township website. 2. GATEWAY SIGNAGE DESIGN CONCEPTS The Township is looking for gateway sign designs to mark primary entry points into the Township, a. The signage should include, but not be limited to: i. Gateway signs ii. Park signs – entryway, park rules, amenities, etc. b. The selected consultant will create and present a minimum of three schematic design concepts from which the final design concept will be selected. c. The selected consultant will develop a preliminary implementation plan with short, medium, and long-term priorities. i. Include probable cost for fabrication, installation, and ongoing maintenance (i.e., bid-ready documents) ii. Include identification and mapping of recommended signage locations and prioritized stand-alone phases of installation. 3. DEVELOP DESIGN GUIDELINES ON SIGNAGE TYPES AND LOCATIONS From the design concept selected, the selected consultant will create and present design guidelines. a. The final guidelines should address the following aspects through text, renderings, photos, and maps: i. Sign types including sizes, shapes, colors, materials, poles, and hardware. ii. Letter sizes, fonts, heights, spacing, and style. iii. Develop a menu of signs and specifications.
