The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking bids for two (2) Human Portable Radiation Detectors meeting the following minimum specifications. Must be backpack portable, ruggedized and designed for first responder and law enforcement applications. Two gamma detectors; each with 3” diameter x 3” length ruggedized Nal (TI), integrated PMT and RSI ADS. One neutron module with 2” diameter x 9” active length He-3 tubes, 2.7 atm pressure, and pre-amps. Must have built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Must operate using hot swappable Li-Po batteries. A spare battery shall be included for each unit (spare batteries are noted on Line 2 of Bidding Schedule). Must be able to be monitored remotely. Must be able to identify multiple isotopes. Must be capable of auto calibration at start-up. Software must be compatible and capable of integration with RadAssist software and RadResponder network to track and monitor radiation incidents. Must include all necessary enclosures, cables and accessories required for operation. Must include rugged backpack and wheeled rugged transportation case. Must include a minimum two-year manufacturer warranty. Contractor shall provide one day of equipment demonstration and training after delivery. The apparent low bidder may be required to provide a system demonstration prior to award.
