Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Baltimore County Department of Health, Cancer Prevention Program receives Federal funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State of Maryland for the purpose of prevention, early detection and diagnosis/treatment of cancer for low-income Maryland residents. These services are utilized by uninsured and underinsured clients. The goals of the Cancer Prevention Program are to provide breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings, diagnostic, and linkage to treatment services. The program uses contracted community providers to provide the following tests: Pap smear analysis, medical interpretation Cytopathology, cervical or vaginal collected in preservative fluid, automated thin layer preparation; manual screening under physician supervision HPV, high-risk types, abnormal Pap smears. Test to further delineate risks for Cervical cancer Pap, thin prep with rescreening by automated system and manual rescreening or review Nipple discharge analysis, breast smear
