Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Insects to be controlled will include roaches, silverfish, bedbugs, fleas, crickets, spiders, ants (excluding pharaoh and carpenter) gnats, and termites (see Para 3). Periodic or seasonal infestations will be handled on an on-call basis such as power spraying the perimeter of each building or fogging for gnats. A. Fly service for the Food Service area will be competed from the month of March through the month of October each year of the contract term. B. If an infestation of bed bugs is found, the effective cell and all surrounding cells (above and below) will be treated. 2. Rodent control will include the use of locked bait stations for the effective control of rats, packrats, mice, and ground squirrels in all buildings as well as perimeter control of burrows on the agency grounds. 3. Termite control IS considered part of this contract. Due to previous infestation, it has been deemed necessary to maintain termite control at this facility. Buildings E1, E2, and E3 have a total of 94 bait traps and have been serviced continuously since December 2006. Building E4 has 25 bait traps serviced continuously since September 2000. Additionally, under this scope, should the contractor’s personnel detect evidence of new termite infestation, this should be reported immediately to the Division of Facilities Management and should be documented in the report. A. Termite bait control system may be updated or replaced depending upon winning bidders recommendation.
