Breads with defective wrappers or strong flavored bread will be replaced by the awarded bidder at no charge within 24 hours. Breads will be coded for freshness and the EASTCONN Cooperative members must be supplied with a copy of the code if requested. Bread will be Pullman loaf, whole grain rich (51%). Vendor must specify weight and usable sliced per loaf, excluding the ends, for bread that bid price is submitted for specifications. Rolls will be Hamburg and Hotdog rolls, sliced and uniform in product, whole grain rich (51%). Vendor must specify the weight per dozen of rolls bid on. Grinder rolls must be sliced, uniform in product, and six (6) and eight (8) inches in length, whole grain rich (51%). Vendor must specify weight per dozen of grinder rolls bid on. Vendor to be responsible for any products recalled from a manufacturer and to provide verification, when necessary, that the products are safe to consume. Awarded vendor(s) to have in place safe food handling and HACCP practices plan. Cooperative reserves the right to request and purchase new products not originally on the bid to initiate taste tests or trials. The awarded vendor shall charge the cooperative a cost plus fixed fee for the new products requested by the cooperative.
