Specifications include, but are not limited to: Mill existing asphalt pavement with edge, header, or full width milling. Overlay existing milled areas with 2-inches of asphalt 1. Additional areas may be added at the discretion of City staff. Exact project locations will be determined after awarding the construction contract, prior to contract execution. 2. The asphalt shall be APWA Type 5-01 Asphalt Mix. Mix design(s) shall be submitted for approval prior to use on the project. 3. Aggregate base is included for full depth patching. This may be used if the base of the road has failed and requires replacement. Any excavation or haul-off material is considered subsidiary to this line item. 4. Some locations may have curb replacement occurring concurrently with this project. The contractor shall coordinate any paving to occur after curb replacement has been completed and shall be responsible for any damage done to curb, other infrastructure, or private property during the performance of this project. 5. Traffic Control shall be provided by the contractor and shall be considered subsidiary to the contract. Care shall be taken to always ensure the safety of the travelling public during construction. A traffic control plan shall be coordinated with the City for the work in the North National Roundabout, the South National Entrance, and Clark & Lewis Street locations. 6. Notice shall be provided at least 7 days prior to performing work on the Lewis Street and Clark Avenue areas of the project.
