The Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), on behalf of the District of Columbia Department of Corrections (DOC), is seeking landscaping services to create an environment that emphasizes being a good neighborhood partner. C.5 REQUIREMENTS C.5.1 The contractor shall provide weekly grass cutting for approximately 45,000 square feet on the DOC Jail campus (1901 D St. SE and 1901 E St. SE) from April 1-Sept 30. C.5.2 The contractor shall also maintain all sidewalks (no weeds or cut grass) and the stormwater run-off areas located along Massachusetts Ave. SE on the campus. C.5.3 Landscape Maintenance work shall be performed during the regular hours of 6:30 a.m. through 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified/approved by the Agency due to uncontrollable weather situations C.6 Kick-off Meeting C.6.1 The contractor shall provide the following one-time kick-off services: a) Agreed upon tree trimming, b) Perimeter beatification, remove and dispose of trash and weeds; mulch and mulch application, c) Tree bed beautification, remove and dispose of trash and weeds; mulch and mulch application, d) Bush Trimming, e) Mulch and mulch application, f) Planting of annual flowers in raised beds, g) Walking tour of the campus and location of the dumpster at the overflow lot. C.6.2 The contractor shall provide debris/litter pick-up twice weekly throughout the parking lots and jail campus. Trash items will be deposited in the open-top dumpster in the overflow lot. Litter pick-up can occur on Tuesday and Friday. C.6.3 The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the completion of this project. C.6.4 The contractor shall dispose of all unneeded materials as necessary/at the end of the tour. DOC will not house/store any equipment on-site. C.6.5 It is the responsibility of the lawn care contractor to remove all litter and debris before and after each mowing. Bagging is required. C.6.6 The contractor shall produce, in writing, the dates that lawn care services have been performed. This information shall be documented via email or outlined on invoices. C.6.7 The contractor shall advise the Facilities Manager and Property Manager at the site of the need for reseeding or re-sodding any areas. C.6.8 The contractor is responsible for replacing trees, shrubs, or bushes damaged by inappropriate mowing or edging. C.6.9 The contractor will promptly repair, at their cost, any damage to turf or vegetation. C.6.10 The contractor shall apply an effective, safe, and environmentally friendly herbicide to immediately kill all grass and weeds growing up through cracks and openings in sidewalks, curbs, roads, parking areas, walls, etc.
