Specifications include, but are not limited to: Removal of existing HVAC roof top unit (RTU) and condensing unit and the installation of a new air handler unit and condensing unit at the Lincolnwood Community Center; Item 1 – Remove existing Trane roof top unit and replace with 25-ton roof top unit (RTU) Replacement unit must be a commercial Trane product and include a safety switch. Work to include removal and replacement of existing exterior ducting and associated piping. A crane will need to be used to remove and replace the unit. This will need to be coordinated with the Village, and appropriate permits completed by contractor. Item 2 – Remove existing Trane air handler & replace with 12.5-ton split system air conditioner Replacement unit must be a commercial Trane product and include a safety switch. Work to include removal and replacement of existing exterior ducting and associated piping. A crane may be needed to be used to remove and replace the unit. This will need to be coordinated with the Village, and appropriate permits completed by contractor. Item 3 – Conduct Pre and Post Air Balancing Test Contractor to conduct pre installation and post installation air balancing test. Installation Contractor shall keep work area in an organized, clean, and safe manner. Contractor shall be responsible for exact measurements and workmanship of installation. Contractor shall connect replacement units to existing building thermostat and control system.
