Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1. Alarm System Inspection: 1. The contractor shall conduct annual inspections and testing, consisting of cleaning and adjusting all system components, 100% sensor activation, and communication to central station verification. 2. The contractor shall provide preventative maintenance to all system components to maintain system integrity annually. 3. The contractor must test the security alarm detector sensitivity and recalibrate it as per local jurisdiction codes at least once per year. 4. Inspections and testing, must be conducted by a qualified state-licensed inspector. 5. The contractor must perform inspections according to local jurisdiction codes at least once per year. 6. The contractor must re-examine the security alarm system and provide the corrected compliance tag for each system after each test or repair. 7. The contractor will provide a completely comprehensive and individual detailed report of its findings for each security alarm system, and take necessary action to bring the system to proper operating condition, to comply with federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and codes annually. 8. The contractor must submit reports to the District and Governing Authority bi-annually on the status of systems. 9. The contractor shall notify the District of any damage done in the process of conducting inspections or for service relative to electrical or plumbing disconnection or re-connection due to inspections at all campuses and auxiliary Mission CISD buildings. 4.2. Alarm System Repair 1. Any services required above and beyond normal manufacturer preventative maintenance will require a detailed estimate, before granting repairs. 2. The contractor shall provide a repair estimate within twenty-four (24) hours of site inspection. 3. The contractor shall provide the estimate and obtain approval from the Safety & Security Department for any estimated costs up to $5,000. This will include any troubleshooting issues, replacement of items, labor, installation, etc. Any estimated costs of over $5,000 will need comparable quotes. 4.3. Service Area 1. Due to Mission CISD’s continual expansion to meet current growth, the District is adding additional facilities and or areas to this contract. The awarded Contractor shall extend the same rate to each new facility and/or area for Security Alarm Inspections. 4.4. Schedule 1. An inspection schedule is to be submitted to the District within one week of being awarded the contract. Services will be performed by the Contractor during regular hours of operation in the various buildings, except when special conditions require inspection to be done when a building or area is vacated after regular working hours or on weekends. 2. The contractor will not additional charge for this service. The contractor must submit a proposal form with the itemized cost for repair work of discrepancies or deficiencies before performing any work at any District location. 4.5. Equipment, Materials, and Supplies 1. The Contractor shall supply all labor, supplies, vehicles, equipment, and other materials necessary to perform the security alarm inspections for all areas and buildings specified herein. 4.6. Reporting and Communication 1. Inspection reports: The contractor shall submit inspection reports to the District and/or designated District Representative no later than ten (10) days after completion of the scheduled field inspection. Payment cannot be processed until the inspection report has been received.
