Specifications include, but are not limited to: Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IPTC), hereinafter “IndyGo,” seeks to contract with a qualified vendor to provide transportation operations and vehicle maintenance of the 901-circulator. IndyGo, like other transit systems, historically enters into long-term contracts for ADA Paratransit and Fixed Route service based on pre-determined performance standards and goals. IndyGo operates 31 fixed bus routes and one (1) BRT line in Indianapolis/Marion County, with the second BRT service to start in November of 2024 and the groundbreaking of a third BRT line in 2025. Ridership has seen a 5.7% increase from 2022 to 2023 on the fixed route system. The purpose of the circulator is to provide IndyGo with an efficient, standalone route to carry passengers from 64th & College (Red Line charging location) to 86th & Monon Trail (Nora area). Passengers can transfer to and from the Red Line charging location at 64th & College Ave. (See Exhibit A – 901-circulator map). The service will depart 64th Street at 30-minute intervals, seven days a week. The circulator requires two (2) shuttle buses in a day to provide the service. Hours are governed by the hours of operations for IndyGo’s fixed-route bus services.
