Specifications include, but are not limited to: The RFP is to establish a contract to provide for the complete provision and operation of 450 skilled nursing care beds in the aforementioned State Veterans Homes. In this section appear minimum requirements involving the operation of the Alabama State Veterans Homes. These standards are in addition to the requirement imposed by Title 38 U.S. Code of Federal Regulation Part 51: Per Diem for Nursing Home, Domiciliary or Adult Day Healthcare of Veterans in State Homes; Rules of Alabama Department of Public Health, Chapter 420-5-10, Nursing Facilities; 42 U.S. Code of Federal Regulation Parts 483, and 488; Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Requirements for Long Term Care Facilities; and any city and or county environmental standards and subsequent amendments or changes to any of these documents.
