Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Service Reporting i. For weekly work, Contractor will provide a weekly service report detailing all the work performed as part of this contract. ii. For monthly work, Contractor will be provided with a monthly service report detailing all the work performed as part of this contract. B. Monitoring i. Contractor must visit each site and inspect the ponds/lakes: 1. Weekly – March through October 2. Monthly – November through February 3. The observations and data collected during the inspections will be used to inform and guide all activities required to fulfill the requirements of this contract as specified in the description of services below. C. Visual Inspection i. A visual inspection of the ponds/lakes will be performed during each visit to the site. The inspections shall include: 1. Water levels 2. Water clarity and quality 3. Turbidity 4. Beneficial aquatic vegetation 5. Nuisance, invasive, or exotic aquatic vegetation 6. Algae 7. Physical components such as above ground pipes, inlet and outlet structures, trash racks, emergency spillways, and dams 8. Erosion 9. Issues with shoreline and bank stabilization measures such as rip rap stone, bulkheads, retaining walls, etc. 10.Forebays and inflowing or outflowing swales, ditches, and stream channels 11.Vegetated buffers 12.Sedimentation 13.Nuisance animal activity 14.Fish habitat 15.Mosquito breeding conditions and habitat 16.Trash and debris ii. Any issues or deficiencies that are observed during this visual monitoring will be documented by Contractor staff and reported to the Department Representative per Service Reporting listed above. iii. Department Representative will be notified immediately if there are any deficiencies observed that appear in the judgment of our staff to be posing an immediate risk or otherwise jeopardizing the integrity of the pond/lake structures. Notice will be provided telephonically and in writing. iv. The scope of these services is limited to what can be reasonably observed at the surface of the water and above the ground around the water that makes up the physical structure of the ponds/lakes.
