Specifications include, but are not limited to: On January 3, 2024, the Governor of Maryland, Wes Moore, signed Executive Order 01.01.2024.01 establishing the Longevity Ready Maryland Initiative, which directed the Maryland Department of Aging (the Department) to prioritize the well-being of older people, people living with disabilities, and caregivers across all of State government and to proactively address the needs arising from a growing older adult population. The Department is issuing this solicitation to provide professional consulting services under a small procurement contract to assist the Department in carrying out its mandate under the Governor’s Executive Order to conduct studies of the older adult population, provide advisement and support to the Department’s Longevity Ready Maryland Initiative, and general advice on Longevity Governance, which is defined as a framework of policies, regulations, and strategies implemented by governments to address the challenges and opportunities arising from population aging and increased longevity. This initiative encompasses a wide range of measures to promote older adults' well-being, social inclusion, and economic and financial security while ensuring the sustainability of social systems and public services.
