Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Woodbury Department of Public Works (DPW) provides a residential food waste drop-off facility at the Woodbury Transfer Station, located at 22 Bacon Pond Road in Woodbury. DPW is seeking proposals from qualified Solid Waste Carting Companies to provide carting services for food waste from the Woodbury Transfer Station to a licensed composting facility. The responsible respondent to this RFP will be required to provide the following to the Town of Woodbury: • One or more 2-4 yard dumpsters for food waste • Minimum of one weekly pick up (every week including holidays) of any type of food waste and compostable products, including but not limited to compostable bags. Additional pick ups may be ordered by the Town at any time if the facility is nearing capacity. • Insurance as required, below. • Monthly manifest tickets from a licensed composting facility. • Letter from one or more licensed composting facilities that they will accept the food waste from the Town of Woodbury. • Written guarantee from the contractor that the food waste collected from the Town of Woodbury is in fact being disposed of at the licensed composting facility. • Evidence that the contractor is licensed to haul food waste from the Town of Woodbury by any agencies required by law. • Contractor will be responsible for payment for any damage and/or mess (including spills and/or leaks) caused by its truck, equipment, or employees including repair and/or cleanup labor costs made at either the food scrap recycling pickup location(s) or anywhere within the municipality. The Town of Woodbury will process payments on a monthly basis for food waste tonnage removed and hauled to a licensed facility.
