Specifications include, but are not limited to: The department seeks to acquire healthcare equipment that will mimic modern care settings and provide a realistic learning environment to allow nursing and physician assistant students the ability to develop the knowledge and skills to provide general patient care. Acquisition of the following is desired: An electronic medical record simulator with the following requirements: 1. Equipment should be identical to what is found in current practice settings including components such as safety, alarm, and stability features when available. 2. Technology must be dependable and easy to use and function in the same way that as technology that is utilized in acute care practice settings. 3. Must provide sufficient capacity to practice general nursing skills including assessments, manipulation, and procedures. 4. Must be easy to install and approachable with access to technology support resources. 5. Technology should be wireless, tether-less and cloud based where the capacity exists.
