Specifications include, but are not limited to: CED requires a robust learning curriculum for Cherokee history and culture that can handle the complexities of in-person and online learning modules for students, 6th- 12th grade, and adult learners. A course created around the textbook “Cherokee Nation: A History of Survival, Self Determination, & Identity” is currently offered to Cherokee communities. It is structured over five units that supplement the textbook with 10-12 hours of in-classroom instruction and is designed to provide a deeper knowledge of Cherokee history to Cherokee communities. A curriculum development consultant is needed to help enhance and expand the current curriculum by delivering key learning objectives, designing additional courses for critical audiences, developing an online learning opportunity for independent learning, and enhancing in-person instruction.
