Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The initial “exhaust system” means the interior of all hoods and ducts located over cooking stations, which create grease-laden vapors, both lateral and vertical ducts, fan blades and housing, fire suppression apparatus located inside the ductwork, and filters commencing with the front side of the filter and extending to the point at which fumes exit into the atmosphere. 2. The term “cleaning” means the removal of all accumulated grease vapors to the bare metal from items included in the term “exhaust system”. In all cases NFPA-96 guidelines will apply. The term “cleaning exhaust system” includes the interior walls of lateral as well as vertical ducts. 3. The Contractor is required to clean ductwork via access panels that are currently in place. If no panels are in place or additional panels are needed, the Contractor must bring that to the attention of the appropriate Clemson University designee 4. The Contractor will furnish all cleaning chemicals, tools, ladders, ropes, hoses, steam generators, harnesses, safety equipment, supplies, and all other equipment necessary to perform the requirements of the awarded contract. 5. Make-up air returns to be cleaned of any debris and grease at Madren Center (Sole). 6. Preprinted labels displaying the Contractor’s business name, phone number, address, unique hood identification number, and cleaning date are TO BE affixed to each hood at the completion of the cleaning operation. 7. All materials used are to be in compliance with applicable fire and EPA regulations.
