This bid request is for a detector for radioisotopes that is attached to an existing HPLC in the Cancer Pharmacology Laboratory at the UW Carbone Cancer Center (room K4/523). This instrumentation will be used to measure radioactive diagnostic tracers used to detect cancer, as well as similar isotopes used for treatment of these cancers. The detector system must be able to measure alpha, beta, and gamma radiation in biological samples (blood, urine, etc) that has been separated from other substances by usual HPLC methods. This will require a pump to provide scintillation fluid (SF) for samples of alpha and beta-emitting isotopes, as well as a mixing chamber to combine the HPLC eluent and SF before it enters the detector. Also, different isotopes (types of radiation) will require different cells or modules attached to the detectors.
