Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall apply herbicide in the designated project areas to all target plants in accordance with the following methods and standards: Spot Spraying – Apply herbicide mix using wand to focus spray to target plant. Enough spray must be applied to completely cover all leaf surfaces of target plant, but not so much that the spray drips from the target plant. The acceptable herbicides for each species are listed below. Sericea lespedeza: June-Early July - *0.5% volume to volume ammonium sulfate (AMS), 0.5 to 0.75 fluid ounces of PastureGard HL per gallon of water and 0.5% volume to volume nonionic surfactant mixed together in water. Sericea lespedeza: Early July-Before Bloom - *0.5% volume to volume ammonium sulfate (AMS), 1.5 fluid ounces of Remedy Ultra per gallon of water and 0.5% volume to volume nonionic surfactant mixed together in water. Sericea lespedeza: Beginning Bloom - *0.5% volume to volume ammonium sulfate (AMS), 0.5 ounces of Cimarron Plus per 25 gallons of water and 0.5% volume to volume nonionic surfactant mixed together in water. Broadcast Spraying – Apply herbicide mix with either boom or boomless spray equipment. The contractor must take extra care to spray when the wind is light to keep herbicide drift from impacting non-target areas. Sprayer must apply at least 15 gallons of water per acre. Area to be sprayed must be covered to make sure there are no skips between passes. The acceptable herbicides for each species are listed below.
