The primary focus of this solicitation is to review available bicycle locker productsthat the University may purchase as part of an ongoing effort to expand and replace secure outdoor bike parking. The University currently has 616 locker spaces on its property. Thisis for information purposes only, not a commitment for purchase volume. We envision two stages of the selection process. Phase 1 shall be a review of proposals and selection of demonstration units. Phase 2 shall be on-site testing by UW Transportation Services and UW stakeholders of the units selected from Phase 1. Phase 2 testing will determine the final selection of firm(s) to provide specified bicycle storage solutions for replacement of current existing units as well as possible new storage locations. Respondents will be expected to offer solutions that provide secure lockers to be installed on concrete surfaces, shall be able to store between one and two bicycles. Lockers must be securable to the ground, and also should be able to be relocated to alternate locations if necessary. Access to the storage systems may be either on an on-demand basis or may be rented to individuals for year-long leases.
