Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will be required to perform and complete tree maintenance work by providing all labor, tools, transportation, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to complete all work in a professional, thorough, and timely manner, in accordance with industry standards and specifications contained in this section. The District requires that the Contractor provide the management expertise, knowledge, and ability to prune, remove, and keep an accurate estimate inventory at the District eight (8) locations. At trees 15 feet and higher there is the potential hazards which may require a crane, high reach equipment, etc. which each requirement if required should be used in the safety and protection of the Bidder, employees, Solana School District staff and children, and any other bystander. The Solana Beach School District (District) does not guarantee a specific amount of work and the quantity of work may increase or decrease based on the District’s annual needs. The Contractor, at the District’s direction, shall perform tree, pruning, removal & occasional replacement services in accordance with the statement of work described herein and all applicable American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Best Management Practices at various sites. The work performed on this contract as directed by Districtstaff(including pruning,removal, plant health care and replacement of trees, GPS tree inventory collection and software usage and arborist consulting services) is routine, recurring and usual. The rates included in the cost proposal are based on prevailing wage determination. The District is solely and actively responsible for the selection of trees to be maintained and the designation of the type and timing of the work to be performed. The Contractor must work with the District Representative for instructions on which trees work will be done.
