Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Boston, acting through the Environment Department, is seeking applicants willing to operate the City of Boston’s pump-out boat known as “Head of the Harbor” in Boston Harbor. The pump-out boat is part of the City’s efforts to encourage commercial and residential/recreational boat owners and operators to comply with the no-discharge zone that protects Boston Harbor. The selected Vendor will be the sole operator of the City of Boston pump-out boat, and will be able to market themselves and their business as such. In addition to the funding provided by the City through this contract, the Vendor may also charge additional fees for services, subject to approval by the City.
