Specifications include, but are not limited to: I. Fouled Loop System Flushing Procedure (During School Breaks Only) * Pre-Flush Procedure * Open make up water bypass and drain loop at various branches in the building while maintaining loop volume and pressure. Continue this process until loop water is clear at each branch. * This process must be completed before school break secession begins. * Units with a three-way valve or bypass * Isolate Unit with manual valves. * Open Three-way Valve or Bypass Valve to allow water flow from inlet directly to the outlet. * Units with no three-way valve or bypass * Remove Strainer Basket * Connect Hose(s) from inlet to outlet creating a loop bypass. * Flush Procedure * Coordinate with MNPS Contracted Chemical Company * Flush System * Add chemical treatment and circulate for recommend time frame * Open make-up water bypass * Open loop from farthest point in system. (Larger loops will require opening multiple points) * Monitor make-up water while maintaining loop volume and pressure to ensure proper discharge flow. * Continue with flushing procedure until proper chemical parameters are achieved. * Individual unit flush * Clean strainer(s) * Using a portable flushing system (Bucket pump), flush chemicals through each unit. * Chemicals to be purchased from the MNPS Contracted Chemical Company. * Individual unit chemical flush should run a minimum of 5 minutes. * Follow up each chemical treatment by flushing with water for a minimum of 5min. * Post-Flush Procedure * Three-way valve or bypass at unit * Install Strainer Basket * Close Three-way Valve or Bypass valve and open isolation valves. * No three-way valve or bypass * Install Strainer Basket * Connect inlet and outlet hoses/pipes to unit. * Open Isolation Valves * Bleed excess air out of system as required.
