Specifications include, but are not limited to: Richland School District Two will accept bids from qualified firms to provide boiler inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement services throughout the Richland School District Two. This contract shall also cover all work as needed for all of the steam and hot water equipment including but not limited to steam piping, steam traps, check valves, hot water pumps and piping, steam and hot water valves, hot water coils, etc. These specifications cover services to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, training, technical support, supplies and equipment necessary to provide the required level of services. All preventive maintenance must meet the current published standards required by South Carolina Labor Licensing Regulations (SCLLR) and the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) requirements pertaining to Service or Preventive Maintenance of Boilers. • Authorized District personnel will provide reasonable means to access all devices which are to be maintained. The Contractor shall be free to start and stop all primary equipment incidentals to the operation of the system. Starts and stops shall be coordinated with Maintenance Department and all affected occupants shall be notified in advance. Care shall be taken to not overload the system and cause high ratchet to occur on electrical power. • The work shall be scheduled so that all boiler equipment is operative at any time students and/or staff are on campus or any district facility. • Contractor shall have necessary tools and equipment to perform all inspection, maintenance and repair functions as outlined in this document. • All repairs, alterations and modifications to the boiler must be performed by a competent and qualified person familiar with/in performing boiler inspection, repair, alteration and modification work and all requirements outlined by and Federal laws and the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (SCLLR).
